While we hope that humans will practice kindness to animals, we often neglect the fact that so many animals practice kindness to humans. Among those who do are those dogs trained by the Israel Guide Dog Center for the Blind, which happens to be the mitzvah project of this Shabbat's Bat Mitzvah. These dogs are taught Hebrew and trained to assist disabled vets and other Israelis needing assistance. See their website and find out how you can send a dog to Hebrew School.
